We are a sociable bunch here at St Silas who enjoy meeting people. On this page you will find information about the various groups run by church members. Some groups help with keeping the church running while others meet to offer activities and support to those who attend.

Groups at St Silas Church
Ladies Circle
We meet on the fourth Tuesday afternoon of each month and have 25 lovely and lively members. Friendship is our main aim. Fund-raising is our second aim. We join with Mothers’ Union for special occasions, and support them whenever we can. New members are always very welcome. St Silas Choir
St Silas is proud to have the only church choir in Blackburn at present. We rehearse twice a month for the morning Eucharist services, at which we sing a wide range of hymns, traditional and modern, worship songs, and anthems from our repertoire, when numbers permit. Members of the choir also help and support the various concert events in the church.
The choir members are very friendly and welcoming, and we are always on the lookout for new members: no previous experience necessary! So if you feel able to come and join us, please contact David Brindle, via our email. We will be delighted to hear from you.
